Comparison of lemlist alternatives for cold email outreach in 2026

The best lemlist alternative depends on what you are trying to change. Instantly and Smartlead suit high-volume sending, Saleshandy and Woodpecker suit teams that want email-first tools with different pricing structures, and Mailtracko suits small teams that want sequences, a shared inbox and fixed monthly plans. Prices below are as of October 2026.

Why people look beyond lemlist

lemlist is a capable multichannel outreach tool, and plenty of teams use it happily. The reasons to compare it with others come down to how it is packaged rather than whether it works. These points come from lemlist's own pricing page as of October 2026.

If none of that matters to you, staying put is a fair answer. If it does, the sections below show what else is available.

Five lemlist alternatives

Instantly

Suits: teams that send a lot of email from many mailboxes.

Instantly's pricing page lists standalone Outreach plans with unlimited accounts: Growth at $47 a month for 5,000 emails and 1,000 uploaded contacts, and Hypergrowth at $97 a month for 125,000 emails and 25,000 contacts (monthly billing, as of October 2026). It also sells separate credit plans and bundles that add a lead database. The trade-off is that the structure has several overlapping product lines, so read the plan names carefully before buying. Our Instantly alternatives guide and the Mailtracko vs Instantly comparison go deeper.

Smartlead

Suits: agencies and volume senders who want unlimited mailboxes.

Smartlead's pricing page shows Base at $39 a month (2,000 contacts, 6,000 emails) and Pro at $94 a month (30,000 contacts, 90,000 emails) on monthly billing, as of October 2026. Its FAQ says all plans include unlimited email accounts, and client workspaces start at the Pro plan, with a white-label add-on priced per client. Extras such as SmartDelivery and SmartServers are billed separately, so total cost can rise. See Smartlead alternatives and Instantly vs Smartlead.

Saleshandy

Suits: email-first teams that want flat tiers and a lower entry price.

Saleshandy's pricing page lists Starter at $41 a month billed monthly ($34 billed annually) with 2,000 active prospects and 6,000 emails a month, and Pro at $99 a month billed monthly ($76 annually) with 30,000 active prospects and 100,000 emails (as of October 2026). Email accounts are unlimited on every tier and the page lists a 7-day trial. Caps apply to active prospects in live sequences, so check that definition against your list size. It does not include LinkedIn or calling on the tiers shown.

Woodpecker

Suits: teams that want pricing tied to emails sent, with unlimited contact storage.

Woodpecker's pricing page bases the Email plan on emails sent per month, from 5,000 up to 1,000,000, with unlimited contact storage, team members and email accounts. A Multichannel plan adds a LinkedIn account, and add-ons such as extra lead credits are priced separately. The page lists a 14-day trial or 500 cold emails, whichever comes first, and says a campaign stops sending to new prospects when the limit is reached. Dollar amounts did not render when we read the page, so check the vendor's pricing page for current figures. For a head-to-head, read Woodpecker vs Mailtracko.

Mailtracko

Suits: solo operators and small teams who want fixed monthly plans and a shared reply inbox.

Mailtracko is our product, so weigh this section accordingly. Plans are Starter at $29 a month, Growth at $59, Scale at $149 and a custom Enterprise plan, with a 14-day free trial (monthly billing, as of October 2026; yearly billing is lower). Starter includes 2 connected sender accounts, 2,500 active contacts and 10,000 campaign emails a month. Growth adds a unified inbox and team collaboration, with 5 members, 10 sender accounts and 100,000 emails. Sequences, AI personalization and cold email outreach tools are part of the product. The trade-offs: plans cap sender accounts and contacts, and it is an email-focused tool rather than a LinkedIn or calling suite. Full details are on the pricing page.

How to choose

Trial two tools with the same small list. Whichever you pick, a good 5-step cold email sequence matters more than the logo on the dashboard.

FAQ

Is lemlist worth it for email-only outreach?

It can be. Its Email plan covers email sending, but multichannel features sit in a higher plan and some data features are add-ons. Price your own needs before deciding.

Which lemlist alternative is cheapest?

Among the entry plans we checked, Mailtracko Starter ($29) is lowest, then Smartlead Base ($39). Caps differ, so compare what each includes, not only the price.

Do these tools guarantee inbox placement?

No tool can promise it. Placement depends on your domain setup, list quality and content. Configure authentication and send in small, steady volumes.

Can I move my sequences from lemlist?

Most tools import contacts by CSV, but sequences usually need rebuilding. Mailtracko's Scale plan lists guided migration from another tool.
